I am honored to serve as the 12^th Chief of Police for the Downey Police Department.  The men and women of the Downey Police Department are of the highest caliber and demonstrate unwavering commitment to providing professional, ethical, and responsible law enforcement service to all who live, work and travel through this great city.

Founded in 1957, the Downey Police Department continues to evolve and adapt to the everchanging needs of the community, while staying true to our core values and mission. We are at the forefront of modern policing, providing continuous advanced training and employing the use of new technologies to better equip our employees with the skills and tools essential to meet today’s challenges.  Quality of life and the safety of our community are two of our top priorities. We are committed to serving the unique needs of the Downey community and concentrate our efforts on every aspect of the law enforcement profession.

The Downey Police Department is most effective working in partnership with our community and we strive to constantly build and foster these relationships.  Community engagement is a key component to this partnership. We look to constantly engage and share with our community through our social media platforms, our day to day contacts with those we serve, and the many community events held each year.
